Our RiverAerie Gewürztraminer is from the Evergreen Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes region of the Columbia Valley. We prefer this vineyard for many of our white wines because cool nighttime temperatures help to preserve the natural acidity in the grapes and because of the high limestone content of the soil which imparts a slight mineral quality to the wines. The Gewürztraminer is bottled within six months of harvest to capture the estery aromas and fresh fruit flavors. We try to minimize the impact of the winemaker on the RiverAerie white wines, so the natural varietal characteristics can predominate.

Aromas of citrus flowers and spice; lively entry on the palate with good acidity; crisp; melon and guava flavors complement a hint of juniper in the background.
