Grenache, Yakima Valley, 2006 - SOLD OUT
For our first Grenache, we have chosen two vineyards from the Yakima Valley, Dick Boushey and Olsen Estates. Both sites moderately warm with slightly south facing slopes. The Boushey vineyard produces Grenache of subtlety with outstanding aromatics, while the Olsen Estate Grenache has deeper color and substance. They harmonize well in this blend which shows the potential of Grenache in Washington .
Winemaker’s Notes:
very aromatic, with hints of violet, and rose, soft entry on the palate with supple tannins, what the French would call a “feminine” wine, flavors on the palate of dried herbs and rose pedal, a good match with lighter fare or as an aperitif.
