This RiverAerie Barbera comes from the Northridge Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope. The vines were in their seventh year in 2006. They show amazing concentration of flavor at this early age and point to a bright future for Barbera in this vineyard. The wine is true to type for a great Barbera, exhibiting substantial acidity but very soft tannins. 

Winemaker’s Notes:  

Dark ruby in color; aromas of plum and blackberry; soft entry with black fruit flavors; hints of mocha and spice linger on the palate; moderate tannins.
