Viognier, Columbia Valley, 2006 -- SOLD OUT

Our RiverAerie Viognier is from the Evergreen Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes region of the Columbia Valley. We prefer this vineyard for many of our white wines because cool nighttime temperatures help to preserve the natural acidity in the grapes and because the high limestone content of the soil imparts a slight mineral quality to the wines. The Viognier is bottled within six months of harvest to capture the esthery aromas and fresh fruit flavors. We try to minimize the impact of the winemaker on the RiverAerie white wines, so the natural varietal characteristics can predominate.

Winemaker’s Notes:
Pale straw in color; aromas of peach and apricot, floral notes including grapefruit blossom; bright and lively on the palate, with flavors of grapefruit pith and other complex citric notes.
