Rhone Blend, "a pic", Stonetree Vyd., 2007
$37.00 (library)
Stonetree Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope appellation is an outstanding site high on the south facing slope of Saddle Mountain. Rhône varieties thrive here. We blend Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvedre to achieve “à pic”, French for “at just the right moment”. The blend was aged for 18 months in a combination of new American, and older French oak. The Grenache and Cinsault provide floral aromas, Mourvedre provides spicy aromas and the Syrah is the foundation of the blend.
