2007 Bunnell Family Cellar Talcott Vineyard Viognier (Wahluke Slope), $18

Score: 89

From a hot, sandy site in the heart of the Wahluke Slope, this was barrel fermented in neutral oak. The aromas are an inviting mélange of spice, clove, lime and light tropical fruits, and the wine has natural poise and balance. Green apple, lime and peach come into play, along with streaks of butterscotch. — P.G

Peach, honeydew melon, apricot, and honeysuckle aromas predominate, with hint of juniper berry in the background; bright entry on the palate, round on the mid-palate but with good acidity; lemon and lemon zest flavors with a slight butterscotch note in the background.
